The Christmas holidays are nearing an end and school goes back late next week, but it is not all doom and gloom... we have the potential of a four day long weekend coming up. The Australia Day public holiday is on Tuesday 26th January, so it would be fair to say that a lot of Australians won't be at work on Monday and will be enjoying a four day weekend.
Port Stephens will be buzzing, with accommodation nearly booked out already, restaurants and cafes, shops, attractions and activities all operating and plenty more happening for the weekend.
Friday 22nd January - Sacred Tree Twilight Markets from 4pm to 9pm on the Nelson Bay Foreshore.
Live Music at d'Albora Marina on Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm to 8pm and on Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, plus live music on Australia Day at the same times.
Australia Day at Murray's Brewery from 23rd to 26th January (with passionfruit beer, lamb themed foods, thong throwing, brewery tours and live music).
Australia Day at Fly Point, Nelson Bay on 26th January - click here
for the program.
Don't miss out and be left waiting until Easter for another short break! See you in Port Stephens...
