SHOPPING IN NELSON BAY

Nelson Bay is a seaside town with boutique shopping both at the marina and in the main street (Stockton Street). There are a mix of unique shops selling adult and childrens clothes and swimwear, homewares, jewellery and souvenirs, as well as beauticians, banks, a newsagent, chemists, bottleshops, cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and a petrol station. Take some time to wander around the marina and then through the park and up the main street. You will find all the essentials you need while on holidays, as well as plenty you don’t need!
Just 5 minutes drive from Nelson Bay there is Salamander Bay, where you will find the Salamander Shopping Centre. At Salamander Shopping Centre there are three supermarkets (Coles, Woolworths and Aldi), as well as Kmart, Target Country, over 75 specialty stores, banks, hairdressers and a food court. At Salamander you will also find McDonalds and KFC, a tavern, a petrol station and our local library.
If you are looking for Bunnings, Supercheap Auto or BCF, then head to Taylors Beach. You will also find smaller grocery stores, newsagents, cafes and bottle shops at Soldiers Point, Anna Bay, Shoal Ba and Fingal Bay.
