Port Stephens is the ideal destination for a golfing getaway. Base yourself in Port Stephens and you will have two championship courses close by (Nelson Bay and Horizons). There are also over ten extra golf courses within a hours drive or ferry trip (including Pacific Dunes Golf Club, Newcastle Golf Club, Muree Golf Club, Maitland Golf Club, Merewether Golf Club, Cypress Lakes Golf Club, The Vintage and Hawks Nest Golf Club). You can easily fill a few days or a week with golf at quality courses!
- Nelson Bay Golf Club is a 27 hole Championship Course. The course meanders through a wide range of native trees and an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and native birds. Open to members and visitors seven days a week.
- Horizons Golf Club is a challenging 18 hole, par 72 course designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson. Horizons is surrounded by natural bushland with four par three’s, ten par four’s and four par five’s.
- Pacific Dunes Golf Club is an international standard championship course with two distinct nine holes interwoven amoung natural lakes, wetlands and shady angophoras.It is a par 72 course, open seven days a week for members and visitors.
