What Port Stephens doesn’t have is rush hour, traffic jams, high rise and expensive parking.
Wake up and enjoy breakfast on the balcony overlooking the water, join a morning cruise on the harbour, grab some fresh fish and chips for lunch and head off for some local beer and wine tastings (try our local Whale Ale), then head back for a sunset walk along the beach and a spectacular seafood dinner at a local restaurant (or you can buy your own fresh seafood and cook up dinner yourselves). That’s just your first day… you also have to fit in a walk up Tomaree Headland (where you just might spot some whales as they pass by), a 4WD adventure in the sand dunes, a parasail over the water, a ferry ride across to Tea Gardens, a sunset kayak, snorkelling at Fly Point Marine Reserve, a bike ride to Fingal Bay, a scenic helicopter flight and a dinner cruise on the harbour (don’t forget to also set aside a bit of ‘do nothing’ time as well).
